BRANDON Town staged a remarkable comeback to earn their first victory of the season over Hindringham, 8-4.

After 34 minutes the home side found themselves 4-0 down thanks to some to class finishing from the visitors. Town were handed a lifeline in injury time when Wright was up-ended in the area and Winstone converted the spot-kick.

Two minutes later excellent work from Wright gave Edwards the chance to get another goal back for Town.

The second half saw Brandon come out all guns blazing. Meadows' cross was flicked on by Wright and Waites finished the move.

Four minutes later Wright turned Oliver inside out and found Waites to make the scores level. Waites completed his hat-trick in nine minutes after Wright again terrorised the visiting defence.

Brandon waited until the final 10 minutes before adding to the tally, first Wright got a deserved goal after Waites mis-cued. Three minutes later Wright headed home from a Sobiechowski corner. The scoring was completed when Wright again set up Waites for his fourth of the match.

A highly-entertaining game played in sporting fashion, Hindringham will wonder how they lost but they could not cope with Tony Wright, who was outstanding and had a hand in all eight of Town's goals. This week the first team does not have a fixture.

Meanwhile, Brandon Reserves lost 7-0 at Newton Flotman.
