Brandon Town moved back to the top of the table despite giving away an injury time equaliser for 3-3 in what was a pulsating match.

Town started the better and went ahead on nine minutes when Acle half-cleared a corner to Kent.

His curling shot was well saved but Sobiechowski pounced on the loose ball from close range. Both sides showed plenty of attacking aspirations and Nicholls shot wide for the visitors.

Brown should have doubled the lead, but his lob was comfortably gathered. Acle drew level through Thompson 10 minutes from the break. Brown was denied by Foreman, but Town restored their lead when they took advantage of some sloppy defending. Leech put Brown through and he rounded Foreman and slid the ball home.

The second half saw Acle apply strong pressure and they got a deserved equaliser just before the hour when Nicholls punished a missed header.

The visitors looked more likely to score, but they could not get the ball in the net legally.

As time wound down, the game became stretched and good work from Williams found Kent, who headed past Foreman with only stoppage time left. All credit to Acle, as they responded well and Thompson levelled the score with a simple tap-in at the far post.

Either side could have won and it would be hard to say that anyone deserved to lose after serving up such a highly entertaining spectacle. Next week sees Town travel to Cromer, weather permitting, for another crucial match.

Meanwhile the Reserves lost 1-0 at South Walsham after holding out until the last five minutes.
