Thetford Town slipped to defeat at Brightlingsea Regent despite looking the better side for long spells at North Road on Tuesday night.
The Brecklanders started the better side and had a goal ruled out just before the break when the referee’s assistant raised his flag.
Regent took advantage of their fortune in the second half and got their noses in front in the 48th minute thanks to a fine header by Scott Yearling.
Thetford flooded forward in search of an equaliser and were caught in the 90th minute when Jack Turner cut inside his marker and fired home.
