Thetford’s Ryan Vickers headed off to the first round of the MCE British Superbikes at Donington Park to race in the Superstock 600 Class.
He had a good time on the bike on Friday, getting it set up just how he wanted and on Saturday he went out and qualified 10th for his one and only race.
On Sunday Ryan had a good start although going in to the first bend he lost some ground and he ended up in 18th place, which all things considered was not a bad start to the season.
The second meeting of this year’s series takes place at Brands Hatch from April 15-17.
British Superbike driver standings after Donington: Tarran Mackenzie 25pts, Andrew Irwin 20, Benjamin Currie 16, David Allingham 13, Jack Kennedy 11, Keith Farmer 10, Ross Twyman 9, Joe Francis 8, Keenan Armstrong 7, Sam Wilford 6, Tommy Philp 5, Sam Clarke 4, Tom Ward 3, Jamie Perrin 2, Harry Truelove 1.
