Youth councillors take part in charity car wash in Thetford
Youngsters donned Christmas hats and rolled up their sleeves to raise funds for charity during a car wash in Thetford at the weekend.
A dozen members of the Breckland Youth Council took part in the event at Thetford fire station on Saturday.
All monies collected from the car wash will go to Heart Radio’s Have a Heart appeal, which this year is fundraising for ChildLine.
The event was organised after 14 new members joined the youth council.
Stephanie Barnard, youth engagement officer at Breckland Council, said they were keen to put on a project that would get the new members working together.

Firefighters also helped the youngsters clean the cars on a frosty Saturday morning. And Breckland Council chairman Nigel Wilkin also attended.
