The ‘Force’ awakened in a group of junior Jedis this week as they donned their lightsabers to take part in a stellar half-term library event.
More than 50 children were at Brandon Library last Wednesday at an out of this world Star Wars event, trying a variety of arts and crafts themed around the blockbuster sci-fi series.
They were also able to dress up as Jedis and Sith lords, with Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and several stormtroopers making an appearance.
Putting their intergalactic rivalries to one side, the children enjoyed Star Wars music, Lego Star Wars colouring, a design your own planet activity, and a quiz.
There were also grape lightsabers, Princess Leia cakes, ham solo sandwiches and chocolate death stars for them to snack on.
