A 40-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital with a suspected broken ankle yesterday after a crash between a car and a tractor near Thetford.
Emergency services were called to the A1066 at Rushford at about 9.15am after the collision, which closed the road for about two hours.
Firefighters from Thetford and Norwich were required to cut the roof off the blue Audi A4 car to release the driver, who was taken to the West Suffolk Hospital at Bury St Edmunds by the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
A passenger of the car was taken to the same hospital by land ambulance suffering from leg injuries.
