MORE people will have the chance to walk into a healthy New Year as a free health walk scheme is extended around Forest Heath.

The new programme for January to March is now available and includes Exning, Ashley, Cheveley and Burwell as well as the regular favourites in Newmarket and Mildenhall.

Health Walks Coordinator, Leisa Bright, siad: “The Health Walks have already built up a popular following and demand has been increasing in nearby villages so that local residents can join in without having to hop in their cars.

“Walking is a great environmentally friendly form of exercise, it doesn't cost a penny and it suits people of all levels of fitness. “Everyone is welcome to come along and join us to get fit for the New Year and to make new friends along the way.”

The new programme is available on the ACL website at www.angcomleisure.com or people can pick up a copy from the leisure centres.
