Community spirit was shown by residents, businesses and public figures as they took part in a town litter pick.
A team of 36 volunteers took part in the litter pick in Thetford, which was organised as part of the national Great Plastic Pick Up.
In under two hours, 10 bags of plastic bottles, seven bags of cans and six bags of general rubbish were collected from Castle Park, King Street and the riverside area.
Upon seeing the volunteers with their litter picks and orange bibs, one shopper volunteered to help until he had to head off to work.
Drinks and refreshments were provided by Grand Central.

The event was organised jointly by Breckland Council and the town council and it is hoped more litter pick events will take place on the back of this one.
