Volunteers to take to the streets of Brandon for community litter pick

Volunteers armed with a litter grabbers and bags will be taking part in a large community litter pick in Brandon.

Brandon in Bloom will participate in Keep Britain Tidy - Great Spring Clean.

Around 40 volunteers will be litter picking in their street, with the Brandon Cubs picking up litter at the playground at the playing fields.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4 between 10am and 4pm.

More volunteers are needed and Brandon in Bloom are calling for residents and businesses to step forward.

Every volunteer will be issued with gloves, a high-visibility tabard, litter grabber and waste bags.

Some of the equipment is being supplied by Forest Heath Council and Brandon in Bloom is purchasing additional equipment to hold more frequent litter picks.
