REDECORATING and gardening were all in a day's work for a group of volunteers when they took time out to support a local charity.
Nine volunteers from Center Parcs at Elveden helped out at the Riverside Centre in Thetford by gardening and redecorating the main hall and main room.
Center Parcs Elveden Forest leisure services manager, Paul Stewart, said: “The Riversdale Centre is an important hub for the local community of Thetford and we are pleased to be able to help the centre with some redecorating and tidying.
“We support many charities close to our heart and it is great to be able to give staff a chance to get out there and make a difference in the community.”
Riversdale, which has been open for 29 years, provides accommodation for various charities including Age Concern, Crossroads for Carers, Red Cross, West Suffolk Mind, Alzheimers Society, YMCA Norfolk and the Youth Offending Team.
Rooms within the Centre are also hired for counselling services, art groups and clubs for people with disabilities.
