Improvements to two community facilities in a Breckland village will be able to go ahead following funding grants.
Weeting Bowls Club and the village hall have received both received grants totally £7,119 from Breckland Council.
The bowls club will use the £4,000 to refurbish the toilets, and add a disabled one, and move them into the changing rooms to create more space in the club house.
The £3,119 award to the village Hall, which is used by a variety of clubs, will enable its failing heating system to be repaired and new radiators installed.
Karen Scott, treasurer of the hall committee, said: “There are around 20 local groups currently using the hall. Our existing gas heaters don’t work properly so the hall no longer provides a comfortable environment for them in cold weather.”
