A popular singing group will be able to carry on hitting the high notes thanks to extra funding to help it continue its activities.
Support in the form of recent grants from Thetford Town Council and Cynthia Della Hoy’s Croxton Charity, with further awards from the Chivers Trust and Norfolk County Council’s Arts Project Fund, means that Thetford Voices is able to offer its popular singing programme for children and young people once again in 2018.
Dates for the annual holiday workshop are Thursday, August 9 and Friday, August 10, while a new High Summer Project will see young singers taking part in the musicals-themed summer concert of Thetford Singers, with whom Thetford Voices is now affiliated.
Christmas Carolling Day is Friday, December 21. In 2017 the day raised almost £300 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and the children of Quidenham hospice and the group will be trying to better this in 2018.
