Many eagle eyed residents of Thetford have spotted the removal of the town sign.
The sign, which stands on London Road, has been removed by the town council for restoration works.
Depicting the famous Thetford resident Thomas Paine, the sign was suffering and water damage.
Removed last year, it has been drying out and is currently being restored.
It is due to be put back in the early spring.
