GO Ape High Wire Forest Adventure in Thetford Forest has given 1,000 to the Nancy Oldfield Trust as part of its national charity campaign for 2009.
The Nancy Oldfield Trust offers disabled and disadvantaged people excitement, freedom and adventure out on the Norfolk Broads. The trust runs water-based activities for a day or on a residential basis where disabled and disadvantaged people can join in with activities that include sailing, fishing, motor cruising and canoeing.
Robin Slatter, Nancy Oldfield Trust centre manager, collected the cheque on Thursday . He said: “A big thank you to Go Ape, what a generous donation. We are replacing a 40-year-old boat and the money they have kindly donated will be going towards the new boat which will be specially built to allow our visitors to enjoy an even better and more fulfilling experience out on the Norfolk Broads.”
