Detectives have begun the process of trawling through Thetford's town centre CCTV footage after a security van was held up by armed robbers.

Officers have made an appeal for information after three men targeted the Nationwide Building Society in Riverside Walk on Wednesday evening last week.
Police said that the three men, who were all wearing dark clothing, approached one of the security guards outside the Nationwide branch at about 6.30pm and threatened him with what appeared to be a handgun.
The offenders stole an undisclosed quantity of cash and ran off towards Thetford Magistrates' Court and the Bury Road. No one was injured in the incident.

The Nationwide branch in Thetford was open as usual on Thursday.
A spokesman for Norfolk police said detectives were working with neighbouring forces to trace the culprits, but the raid was not believed to be linked with other armed robberies in the region.

At about 5.35pm on Tuesday, two men wielding a knife entered the Co-op store in Pakefield, near Lowestoft. They assaulted a male member of staff and made off with a quantity of cash.
