An amateur dramatic have handed over nearly £500 to a community project after a year of fundraising.

Raffles held at Thetford Players’ productions and craft fairs over the past 12 months, and a donation from profit made on a production of Acts of Summer, have yielded £470.

The money has now been handed over to the group’s Charity of the Year, Fulmerston Family and Community Project.

Players treasurer, Sue Balaam, said, “Fulmerston was a popular choice as the project is familiar to our members, having previously used their premises to rehearse and we also have members who are involved with the project.”

Fulmerston Family and Community Project work to provide affordable groups and activities for children and families in the Barnham Cross area of Thetford, including parent and toddler groups, a drop-in café and pre-nursery sessions.
