Youngsters at a Thetford nursery received a visit from two Breckland police officers to offer advice.
Breckland Community Engagement officer Pc Amy Lucas and Thetford beat manager Pc Leah Norton gave a presentation to the children at Busy Bees about stranger danger.
The officers spoke to the children about what to do if they are approached by strangers and how strangers in uniforms, such as the police and fire service, are safe. Nursery assistant manager Hannah Cogan said: “It is about educating the children that the police and those in uniform are there to help.
“The children all really enjoyed it. One little boy was dressed up in his uniform and he was so excited.”
The two to five-year-olds also got an opportunity to have a look inside the police car.
Pc Lucas said: “We want Children to feel that they can approach us. Engagement at a young age is crucial.”
