A whodunnit was brought to life in front of two full houses as a church’s performers trod the boards once again.
Thetford Methodist Players’ finest thespians entertained packed audiences on November 20 and 21 as they performed Shenanigans at Shangri La.
The murder mystery story centred on the theft of a manuscript, with a young detective on the case.
The play was written by Thelma Smith, with music chosen and played by Wendy Serjeant.
Eileen Roberts, from Thetford Methodist Church, said: “The cast shone in their ability to inhabit the contrasting characters and weave the mystery, which was solved by an up and coming Detective Sergeant (or so he thought) between afternoon tea and evening dinner.
“Three young men joined the cast and played an important part in helping to solve the mystery.
“We would like to thank our wonderful audiences, who supported us so well and enabled us to raise some £600 for church funds.”
The players next perform on February 13
