Thetford human rights group growing

An Amnesty International group has grown to more than 50 members since it was formed 12 months ago.

The Thetford and District Club has already written over 100 letters on behalf of individuals affected by human rights abuses across the world.

The Thetford and District Club has already written over 100 letters on behalf of individuals affected by human rights abuses across the world. Chairman and local solicitor Simon John said: “Rome wasn't built in a day, but there is plenty of evidence that what we are doing is having a positive effect.”

The branch meets at the St Cuthbert's Church Hall in Thetford on the first Wednesday of every month from 6pm.
