Sue and David White are embarking on a marathon motorbike tour of charity shops in East Anglia to boost a nationwide fund-raising appeal.

Mrs White is manager of the Sue Ryder Care shop in Thetford and tomorrow are aiming to ride 250 miles as part of the “Ride for Ryder” initiative.

They are aiming to visit the majority of Sue Ryder care shops in Norfolk and North Suffolk including Watton, Dereham, Swaffham, Downham Market, King's Lynn, Hunstanton, Wells, Holt, Sheringham, Cromer, North Walsham, Stalham, Wroxham, Old Catton, Earlham Road, Caister, Gorleston, Beccles, Bungay, Diss and Thetford.

The couple are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity, which is the largest provider of specialist palliative and end-of-life care in the UK.

It provides over 100,000 days of long-term residential neurological care each year, and has 14 care centres providing four million hours of care and 1.4 million home visits per year.
