A COUPLE who were forced to postpone their diamond wedding due to ill health have managed to celebrate with family and friends.
Bert, 88, and Joan Smeed, 82, reached 60 years on December 11 last year and gathered with their loved ones at the Crown Pub in Great Ellingham on Saturday .
The couple, who have four children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, were one of the first London families to move to Thetford in 1963.
