Town councillor becomes champion of town charity

A town councillor and businessman has shown his support for a charity helping young people in education.
Catch 22 College is a charity in Thetford that supports youngsters who find it difficult to learn in mainstream education.

Richard Smith, its regional manager, said: "We believe by working with local business people we can inspire our learners to become the next generation of business leaders."
Councillor Mark Robinson has become the first business ambassador to support and offer roles to those at the Department for Education initiative.
Mr Robinson said: "For young people who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education the help and advice that I can offer will, I fervently hope, help them take positive steps toward a brighter future.
"In my experience work creates wealth, self-worth, confidence and independence in people and a better quality of life."
