Thetford Air Cadets’ achievements celebrated at awards dinner

An awards dinner has been held to celebrate the achievements of those associated with the Thetford Air Cadets.

An awards dinner has been held to celebrate the achievements of those associated with the Thetford Air Cadets.

Held at the Carnegie Rooms, the annual dinner was attended by 90 cadets, staff, committee members and guests, to look back a good year for 1109 Squadron.

A number of trophies and awards were given out with the following picked for a special mention:

Civilian Committee trophy - Cadet Robert Shields

The evening was also the perfect time to further celebrate promotions.

Tyler Howard, Paul Snelling, Alfie Custerson and Lewis Haynes were promoted to the rank of Cadet Corporal.

The following were promoted to the rank of Cadet Sergeant, Larna Smith, Callum Brown and Jen Law.

Officer Commanding 1109 Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Sam Chapman-Allen, said: “What a fantastic evening of celebrating, surrounded by Squadron personnel and friends.

“An evening to remember looking back on all the successes and achievements of 2016.

“But now, we look forward to better and greater things to come.”
