Ten men have been charged in connection with an illegal rave at a Suffolk woodland.Around 100 officers from Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex were involved in breaking up the gathering at King's Forest, North Stow, on July 15, which was attended by around 1,000 revellers.

Suffolk Police on Monday charged Michael Hodges, 19, of Finborough Road, Stowmarket, and Joshua Barrington-Lee, 22, of Canterbury Close, Ipswich, with conspiracy to organise an unauthorised licensable event. Barrington-Lee has also been charged with possession of ecstasy, cocaine and ketamine.

Eight men have been charged with committing violent disorder. They are: Peter Stokes, 29, of Ipswich Street, Bury St Edmunds, Stuart Brown, 24, of The Street, Bergh Apton, near Norwich, Adrian Rowbotham, 27, of King's Green Fairstead, King's Lynn, Kirk Austin, 18, from The Causeway, Stow Bridge, King's Lynn, Wayne Saxton, 19, of Mellis Road, Yaxley, near Eye, Luke Parker, 25, of Norwich Road, Brockford, near Stowmarket, Christopher Kerry, 23, of Church Close, Roydon, near Diss, and Craig Kirtley, 23, of Verneuil Avenue, Stowmarket.

A 17-year-old boy from Norwich has been re-bailed to return to Stowmarket police station next month. All of the 11 defendants will appear before Bury St Edmunds Magistrates next week.
