Police have arrested and charged two teenage boys in connection with seven vehicle break-ins at the Cloverfields Estate in Thetford during last weekend.

A 24-year-old man has also been arrested in connection with vehicle break-ins earlier this week and is currently on bail, pending further inquiries.

Thetford police warned that key items for thieves, during the recent spate of thefts, included satellite navigation systems and digital cameras, and are reminding people to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables when unattended.

Sgt Ed Brown of the local safer neighbourhood policing team, said: “Leaving your car insecure and property on display is a recipe for trouble. It's easy to forget that, although we live in a safe part of the world with a very low crime rate, there are thieves waiting for any opportunity to make fast money.”
