Beautiful gardens of all shapes and sizes were on show at the 11th Thetford Open Gardens.

People from across Norfolk and the region were able to enjoy the 30 different gardens - 14 which opened for the first time - and the tasty treats which were on offer.

Organiser Rachel Woods believes the event has raised around £10,000 for St Nicholas Hospice Care in Bury St Edmunds.

She said: “It was a splendid day.

“I have had several emails already thanking me for a wonderful day. But it really is a team effort.

“Someone said they thought the new gardens were wonderful, that it gets better every year and that they were looking forward to next year already.”

Over the years, the event has raised more than £65,000.
