Thetford law firm Kester Cunningham John has won a contract from the UK's largest civil service trade union, the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) - beating off national competition.
PCS has a national membership of 360,000 people and over the next three years
KCJ will provide advice, support and legal representation to members and their families injured as a result of medical treatment.
KCJ has been growing its national client base for clinical negligence for several years and working with PCS fits well with this strategy.
Clinical negligence lawyer Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp, who has a long standing relationship with the union and has led the proposal on behalf of KCJ, said: “The fact that KCJ was awarded this contract over three national firms, all of which have impressive track records in union work, highlights the strength of our team and the confidence our clinical negligence specialists instil in both clients and third parties.”
Independent legal publication, Chambers & Partners has rated KCJ top in East Anglia for medical negligence and personal injury representation for the 12th year running.
