A speed camera installed on a main road in Thetford is set to be activated.
In August Norfolk County Council announced the bi-direction fixed camera would be placed along the A134, Bury Road, close to St Mary's Crescent.
Surveys carried out by Norfolk police between December 5 and 10 last year revealed a high number of people driving over the 30mph speed limit.
The frame of camera has been installed and work will continue for the rest of this week and early next week to complete the installation.
A spokesman for the council said the camera is likely to be activated at some point next week.
The average lowest speed of a vehicle heading towards Bury St Edmunds along the A134 during a daily 24-hour period was 28.5mph, and the highest was 41.4mph.

Over a daily 24-hour period 40,074 vehicles headed towards Brandon Road.
The lowest average speed over that period was 29.2mph and the highest 48.5mph.
Results from an online poll carried out by the EDP and Thetford and Brandon Times saw 56pc of 1,100 voters agree that speeding is a problem on that section of road and a camera should be installed.
