SCORES of motorists recently took to the tracks to raise as much money as possible for charity.
People arrived at Snetterton race circuit in an eclectic mix of cars, from classics such as Jaguar and Austin-Healey to supercars including an Ascari KZ1R and an Audi A8.
A total of 5,300 was raised which will be split evenly between East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH), and Combat Stress, an ex-services mental welfare society.
The event has been held for the past four years and raised 21,210 for charity, primarily EACH.
Danielle Clarke of EACH said: “We are most grateful to Snetterton for providing the circuit at a special rate for these fund-raising events, and to Gigawave for arranging them.”
It is hoped the event will be repeated next year and drivers who would like to take part should contact Christopher Darwin on 01288 381265 or c.darwin@virgin.net.
