Roadshows spread security message

Thetford people have the chance to boost their security knowledge when police host a number of roadshows in the town.

Thetford Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is running a series of events to offer local people crime prevention advice.

Thetford people have the chance to boost their security knowledge when police host a number of roadshows in the town.

Thetford Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is running a series of events to offer local people crime prevention advice.

The roadshow aims to give local residents the chance to find out who their local policing team are and how they can be contacted; air any concerns they have in their neighbourhood; speak to the SNT about how the police and partner agencies are trying to make their neighbourhood a safer place to live; obtain safety advice and crime prevention tips and have personal items property marked. The policing team will also be offering free household crime prevention surveys.

The first roadshow will take place on Sunday, March 15 at Admirals Way shops between 11am-1pm and Cloverfield Church car park between 2pm-4pm.

Police Community Support Officer Tara Grant said: “We are organising a series of roadshows to give local people in each estate across Thetford the chance to air any concerns they have in their neighbourhood and increase their knowledge on crime prevention.”
