Ride of Respect for armed forces will begin at Mildenhall

Bikers from across the region will gather in Suffolk this weekend to pay their respects to those serving on the front line, while raising money for charity.

The Eastern Region Ride of Respect is an annual motorbike ride held to coincide with a national event from Royal Wootton Bassett.

Riders will assemble on Sunday at Walkers Cafe in Mildenhall for an 11am departure.

From Walkers the route will carry on to RAF Mildenhall, RAF Lakenheath, Elveden Memorial and into RAF Honington sports pavilion.

Last year’s event attracted more than 150 bikers and 200 spectators, with 1,500 raised for the charity Afghan Heroes. Proceeds this year will be donated to the Royal British Legion.
