The main hall at Brandon Leisure Centre will be out of action for a week while the floor is resealed.
The refurbishment work is part of Anglia Community Leisure's investment in the building, and work has been scheduled to take place between July 26 and August 1.
Regular football bookings will be playing on the outside pitches for the duration of the work and other users can stay active by using the gym, table tennis or squash courts.
Leisure operations manager at Brandon Leisure Centre, Nigel Snape, said: “The existing floor is starting to look worn and get a bit thin so we are giving it a facelift and getting it resealed and relined for all different kinds of sports.
