Race walkers from across Britain and further aboard will descend on Suffolk to attempt to walk 100 miles within 24 hours.

Positive Steps, a group specialising in the enhanced walking technique Nordic walking, will host the 94th Centurion race in Bury St Edmunds.

The event, held from Saturday, August 5 to Sunday, August 6, will see participants try and walk 100 miles in 24 hours and if they complete it, they will be eligible to become Centurions.

The race will take place around the Moreton Hall Estate, which consists of a two mile loop, and the 100 mile walk will start at 12pm on the Saturday. There will also be races over 50 and 20 miles, the start time for the two distances is 4pm.
