POLICE have vowed to keep the pressure on potential burglars in Thetford after a thief was jailed for six months.

Keith Stanley Atkinson, 29, of Prior Stephen Way, Thetford, was convicted of stealing two quad bikes at the Sping Walks in July, and was sentenced this week by Norwich Crown Court.

Thetford Inspector Adam Hayes said: “We will be maintaining our efforts to target suspects of burglary and those who handle the stolen goods in an effort to disrupt their offending.

“We will put offenders before the courts and they can expect a custodial sentence, as this case highlights.”
