Police have renewed appeals for information regarding a robbery in Thetford.

Police have renewed appeals for information regarding a robbery in Thetford.

After seeing an advertisement for a motorbike a man arranged to meet the seller at the back of Elgin Way between 10am and 10.20am but when he arrived was approached by two men who demanded money from him.

The victim was then punched in the face and hit with a piece of wood which left him with swelling and a cut on his left arm.

He then handed over a large amount of cash before his attackers made off in the direction of the Abbey Estate.

PC Lee Hall from Thetford CID said: “If you are suspicious about a seller, buyer, or the authenticity of property then please contact us.

“We would urge anyone responding to an advert to never carry large amounts of cash with you as payment and if you do arrange to meet a buyer or seller then take someone with you.

“Quite often, if a deal appears too good to be true then it usually is.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Hall at Thetford CID on 0845 456 4567 or call crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
