A proposed petrol station, drive through restaurant and coffee shop along the A11 could create 85 new jobs.
An application has been submitted by Euro Garages to build the complex on land at Snetterton Park.
In addition to the seven fuel pumps, two eateries, and 61 car parking spaces, 25 full-time and 60 part-time jobs would be created.
Trevor Watkins, vice chairman of Snetterton Parish Council, has welcomed the bid.
“The site it would be going on has been derelict for a long time,” he said. “It would smarten the place up a bit.
“We welcome it really. And there is going to be a convenience store and that would be handy for the villages.”
He added that he hopes a condition could be added which would mean the restaurants had responsibility over litter.

Blackburn-based Euro Garages has around 360 petrol stations across the UK, with other sites hosting firms including Esso, BP, Starbucks, Greggs and KFC.
Planning permission was granted by Breckland Council last June, however the applicant has made changes, including the removal of HGV parking provisions.
In the design and access statement it states: “The development will result in the delivery of much needed infrastructure (petrol filling station) and facilities (food, drink and convenience goods) for both employees associated with the wider employment site, whilst also generating trade from passing traffic along the A11 corridor.”
It added that due to the distance from any local town centres, it was not that the proposals would have an “adverse effect on the vitality of these centres”.
The petrol station kiosk building will include two ATM machines and the coffee shop and restaurant would be in two separate buildings.
There would also be two electric car charging points.
Approximately 10 full-time and 25 part-time staff will be employed at the petrol filling station, with 15 full-time and 35 part-time positions across the two drive through units.
Earlier this year a bid to build an electricity substation at Snetterton Heath was approved. The key employment site has suffered from a lack of power. It could help create 1,700 new jobs and save 1,450 more.
