A man and a woman are in hospital with serious injuries after a hit and run collision in Thetford last night (Saturday).

The accident happened near the Blockbuster video rental store in Castle Street at around 11.55pm.
The pair were struck by what was believed to a dark black or blue coloured Ford Galaxy people carrier, which then drove off without stopping.
The man, who is in his late 40s suffered spinal injuries, while the woman, who is in her late 30s has head injuries.
Both victims were taken to the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.
Police said the car has a puncture in one of its tyres and may have sustained damage to the front windscreen.
