People will be able to learn the history of the 600-year-old Mildenhall Warren Lodge during an open day.

The Brecks were once famed for its rabbits which were farmed for their meat and fur.

Visitors to the event on Sunday, May 27, will be able to learn more about the history of the warren lodge and take a look inside.

The nearby Rex Graham Reserve will also be open for visitors to see the largest colony of military orchids in Britain.

The event will run from 9.30am until 3.30pm and has been organised by the Friends of Thetford Forest and Forestry Commission.

The warren lodge is situated in Mildenhall Woods, north of the Barton Mills roundabout.

The reserve is situated at Ride 306 in Mildenhall Woods, on the A1101 towards Bury St Edmunds.

Signs to both the attractions will be up on the day.
