A group of 16 employees from Omar in Brandon will be tackling one of the UK’s most gruelling physical challenges in aid of a colleague’s sick daughter.
The are attempting the 24-hour Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest peaks of Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales, from August 19 to 21.
It will raise funds for Maisy Hutley, daughter of Omar electrician Craig Hutley.
The six-year-old suffers from spinal muscular atrophy type 2 (SMA), a degenerative disease, and the money raised will go towards equipment to help her live more independently.
Follow the team’s progress on Facebook and Twitter using hash tag #OmarPeaking. To find out more about Maisy or to donate, visit www.gofundme.com/mx530g.
