A number of activities are being held by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) next month.

Author and naturalist Mark Avery will talk about his ongoing campaigns to protect the hen harrier and why he thinks driven grouse shooting should be banned.

Inglorious: Conflict in the Uplands will take place on March 8 between 7pm and 9.30pm at the Nunnery Lakes Reserve, Thetford.

On March 17 people will be able to take part in an interactive session to learn more about nocturnal animals which visit gardens.

Participants will use camera traps, infrared cameras and bat detectors.

The free event will be held between 7pm and 9pm at the Nunnery.

And join a BTO expert on a guided walk around Nunnery Lakes and discover birds commonly seen in and around the town.

The free event is on March 24 from 10am until 12pm.
