The repair work will start Monday December 9, and the work is expected to take five days to complete, depending on weather conditions.
Located approximately one kilometre south east of the village, the footbridge carries a public right of way over the River Little Ouse.
The work will see the timber deck boards that have reached the end of their life replaced and damaged sections of the timber parapet fences will be repaired.
A spokesman from Norfolk County Council said: "The county council thanks people for their patience while these essential bridge maintenance works are being carried out."
