New leader needed for Brandon club
A NEW leader is being sought for a longstanding club which may have to close if a replacement cannot be found.
A NEW leader is being sought for a longstanding club which may have to close if a replacement cannot be found.
The Brandon Visually Impaired Club, which is 25 years old, could close at the end of April after is current leader gave up her post due to work commitments.
Volunteer and fundraising manager, Gail Cornish, had run the club since September but due to her work load cannot continue after the end of April.
“It would be a real shame if this wonderful club closes as it is very much appreciated by the blind and partially sighted members who attend,” she said.

“It has been a real pleasure to lead the group for the last six months but my other jobs are getting behind.”
The leader's role would include organising speakers, quizzes and activities, and transport for a number of members. There are currently a team of four volunteer staff.
