LUCKY Robert Howes-Ward will be able to log on from wherever he wants, and browse the web, access his e-mails and photos - having won a laptop in a free prize draw held at his local branch of Norwich and Peterborough Building Society.

Staff at N&P's Thetford branch, in King Street, held a free prize draw throughout June, July and August to encourage people to make sure that in these current financial hard times, they are doing everything they can to be on top of money.

Each of N&P's branches had a Hewlett Packard Celeron 550 laptop to give away. With helpful advice and hints and tips available face-to-face in branches, online and over the phone, staff at N&P were looking to share their financial expertise with their customers.

Anyone who visited a branch and made an appointment with an N&P adviser, or independent financial adviser for a review, was entered into a draw to win a laptop. Showing people how to help themselves with their finances is important, and now N&P has been able to offer Robert the perfect tool to really make the most of his money.

Robert said: “It's great to have won the laptop, I'm really pleased. It'll be great as I've got three children who'll love 'helping' me with it!”

Frances Reeve, manager at N&P's Thetford branch, said: “Following research that N&P carried out, we found that our customers wanted to be given the right help, advice and tools to enable them to help themselves with their finances. So I am delighted that Robert has won this laptop, it'll enable him to keep on top of his finances, and have the ability to shop around for the best possible deals on everything.”
