New Green Travel Map launch for Thetford
People in Thetford will have the chance to rediscover their town on foot, cycle or public transport.
People in Thetford will have the chance to rediscover their town on foot, cycle or public transport.
A free map will be handed out at a special green event next week to show how easy it is to get around without the use of a car.
The launch of the new Thetford Green Travel Map, in the town's market place, will take place on World Health Day, Tuesday, April 7, alongside a bike clinic.
The map will show short cuts for pedestrians, cycle facilities and bus and train information.

The event, which will run between 10am and 4pm, will include other activities such as a cycle road show, with a range of wacky bikes to try. There will also be giveaways to encourage sustainable travel.
The Dr Bike clinic will also give people the chance to take their cycle for a check before the warmer weather arrives.

The map will also be available at libraries, council information points and on the county council website at www.norfolk.gov.uk.
