Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after serious collision in Little Livermere

Emergency services are currently on the scene of a serious collision near Bury St Edmunds.

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service at 10.06am this morning to reports of a two vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a van in Little Livermere, near the junction of Green Lane and Rymer Lane.

Crews from the Norfolk and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Services are also in attendance.

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said it was called to the scene at 9.45am. An ambulance and ambulance officer, the air ambulance and a Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) doctor attended and treated the male motorcyclist who had sustained arm and leg injuries.

He was airlifted to West Suffolk Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The A134 was closed at the junction with Green Lane but has now reopened.

Witnesses are asked to called Suffolk Police on 101 quoting CAD 104 of today.
