A THETFORD woman who has survived breast cancer has raised 1200 for charity.
Nine years ago Marilyn Cole was diagnosed with the disease but, to mark her 60th birthday, she wanted to be able to give something back to a local cancer charity.
A party at Thetford golf club with a fancy dress wild west theme collected the money for the West Suffolk Hospital Breast Care Unit Lizzy Duncan fund.
The event provided a lot of fun and laughter and Marilyn is hoping the money will help people who have breast cancer realise that life goes on even after the trauma of diagnosis.
