Residents and businesses are being invited to join together to create the largest single town litter pick.

Organised from Breckland Council and Thetford Town Council as part of the Great Plastic Pick Up, the litter pick will take place in Thetford on May 11.

It will consist of a guided walk of some of the town’s historic points of interest, with people collecting litter along the way.

There will be refreshments courtesy of Grand Central and everyone who helps on the day will receive a complimentary cinema ticket from The Light Cinema and an offer voucher for Grand Central.

The Great Plastic Pick is supported by Keep Britain Tidy and will run from May 11-13.

People can meet at the Castle Park toilets on Castle Street at 9am, with the plan to set off around 9.30am. The walk will stop at Thetford Riverside between 10 and 10.30am, and will finish at 11.30am.
