Launch of summer activities for children at Thetford’s Ancient House Museum

A series of fun summer events and activities will be taking place at the Ancient House Museum of Thetford Life.
The launch event, running as part of a weekly programme of discovery days, will be Meet the Georgians.
The event, which will take place on Tuesday, July 24, will combine a mixture of history, crafts and science.
Visitors can try writing like Thomas Paine by using a quill pen, then have a go at making a Georgian fan and decorating a Georgian mask to take home. They will also be able to sample some 18th century food.
The event will run from 10.30am until 1pm and is £2 per person or £1 for friends of the museum.

A series of museum family trails will also be available over the summer holidays.
Dress and Dressability will be running from Tuesday, July 25 until Saturday, July 29 and is 50p per person.
