Props and costumes including Market Shipborough road signs from the set of the Norfolk-based ITV series Kingdom have all sold at the end of a two day auction in Watton.

Auctioneer Stephen Roberts of Watton Salerooms said a good crowd attended the second day of the sale held yesterday for collectibles and memorabilia from the programme, starring actor Stephen Fry, despite the weather conditions.

Various costumes from characters in the series sold for a collective total of about 500, he said. The most interest had been in Stephen Fry's character Peter Kingdom's outfits.

The Market Shipborough sign, Startled Duck pub sign, which had been on the outside of the Greyhound Pub during filming, and other road signage all sold for a total of just under 300, said Mr Roberts.

A duck which had been used as a prop on the bar of the pub sold for 55.

The first day of the sale was held on December 10. There were no estimates on the items.

Mr Roberts said sales of props like these did not happen very often and it was hard to put a price on them.

But he thought most of the items would be staying locally with their buyers.
